Matt Honeyman, Lovington, NM - Best Honeymoon Memory

“The story starts nearly seven years ago when I first met my wife. We were in high school and inseparable. After graduation, we decided to go to college together and we set off for Oklahoma. When we first discussed getting married there was never a doubt in our minds where the honeymoon would take place, the Inn…

Our wedding was no easy task. Most of my wife's family lives in California and mine live in Oklahoma. The wedding was set to be July 12, 2008 and the honeymoon was to be the following week. Well, the wedding went off without any major hitches, but it wasn't perfect.

On Tuesday of the following week we headed off to Ruidoso sort of let down and kind of depressed. However, when we got to the Inn we immediately cheered up. The staff treated us like royalty and the room was great. We had a beautiful view of the lake and the golf course. Our first night there we got started a little too early and had to retire to the room after only a few hours. But, we ordered some great room service and had a wonderful night.

Over the course of the next few days we hung out in the casino and ran around town. However, we never felt we had to venture too far from the Inn because we had more fun there then anywhere in Ruidoso. One day we decided to play golf and the course was by far the nicest course I've ever had the pleasure of playing. I kept teasing my wife because it was her first round of golf in her life and she played it on a professional caliber course. We had a slight rain delay but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Our last night at the inn we had dinner at Wendell's and it was great.

Our honeymoon at the Inn made the wedding experience for both my wife and me. If it wasn't for your quality staff and the immaculate accommodations our honeymoon might have suffered the same fate as our wedding. But, the Inn is what I remember most about the wedding (it was definitely the best experience). We loved it at the Inn and we plan to return this July and every July for the rest of our lives.”
